Ming Memo is a minimalist voice memo app that supports voice input and uses AI to automatically transcribe and organize your memos. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

2. Information Collection

We do not collect or store any personal information.

• All memo content is stored in a local database on your device
• Voice recordings are not retained after transcription
• No account registration or login required
• No user tracking or analytics of any kind
• No advertisements

3. Speech-to-Text Service

To provide voice-to-text and intelligent organization features, the app sends your voice recordings to a third-party AI service for processing:

• Voice data is used solely for transcription and discarded after processing
• We do not store your voice recordings on any server
• Third-party AI service providers have their own privacy policies to ensure data security

Important: If you prefer not to use voice features, you can create memos using manual text input.

4. App Permissions

Microphone Permission

• Used to record voice for transcription into text memos
• Only active when you press and hold the record button; never records in the background

Network Permission

• Used to send voice to AI service for transcription
• Not used for any other network communication

5. Data Storage

Ming Memo stores the following information locally on your device:

• Memo content (text)
• Associated time information
• Priority settings
• Completion status
• Original transcription text
• Creation timestamps

All data is stored via SQLite database on your device and is never transmitted to external servers.

6. Data Export

The app supports exporting memos to Excel files. Exported files are saved on your device, and you decide whether to share them. Export operations are entirely under your control.

7. Third-Party Services

Apart from the AI service required for speech-to-text, Ming Memo does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or other external services.

8. Data Security

Your memo data is securely stored locally on your device, protected by your device's operating system security measures. Voice data is transmitted via encrypted connections only during transcription and is not retained after processing.

9. Children's Privacy

Ming Memo is designed for general users and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you through an app update.

11. Your Rights

You can always:

• View and edit all your memos within the app
• Delete any individual memo
• Export your memo data as an Excel file
• Uninstall the app to delete all local data
• Revoke microphone permission at any time
